Thanks very much for looking after my son. I was very worried about him, but now I know he is at a warm friendly environment where people are looking out for him, I am much more settled. He really likes living there, so thank you very much.

My name is Chris. I enjoy living at Wilston Court with my new friends. I enjoy that it is not too crowded. Everyone is easy going and we like to keep it that way. That’s why we all get along so well. I came from the streets and now I need looking after. They do a very good job of making us feel welcome. I really like living here, it is a nice home.

Me and Jim were talking the other day and we reckon Wilston Court is the best. They serve really good meals here and look after us. The doctor comes and we don’t have to worry about things like remembering to take our pills.

This place is great because its close to all the places I want to go. I walk to the hospital, the shops and catch the train up the road to go to the city. Its really close. My family come to visit often, and they are happy I’m here and happy. I miss the cat, but I reckon they’ll get another one soon.

Our son needed more care than we could provide. He suffers from schizophrenia and anxiety and was extremely unsettled living in a government flat by himself. Although he was “in the system” and was visited by organisations, he was very lonely and unable to cope with the day to day pressures. We decided to pursue the supported accommodation option and researched the various centres. We settled on Wilston Court for our boy as it is a small facility with a homely, caring and welcoming atmosphere. With the regular attendance of a GP, and a safe friendly environment we have seen an improvement in our son, and he is so much happier given he has good meals and plenty of company. We are very happy with the move.
